Ross County have confirmed the signing of Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Coll Donaldson.

The 24-year-old had been heavily linked with a move across the Kessock Bridge in the last week, with reports of a pre-contract agreement being signed.

But the Staggies have moved now to get their man in this window for an undisclosed fee.

Donaldson made 75 appearances for Caley Thistle after moving to the Highlands in the summer of 2017, which ended his time at Dundee United.

He could make his County debut in Saturday's Scottish Cup tie at Ayr United.

Ross County co-managers Stuart Kettlewell and Steven Ferguson told the club's website: "Coll is a player we have admired for a while and we are delighted to bring him in as part of our group.

"We identified Coll as a player that we feel can add something to our group and we believe by coming here, he can play his part in what we are trying to achieve."
