Ross County are sweating on the fitness of defender Coll Donaldson after he hobbled off injured midway through the first half in Paisley.
The defender only lasted 22 minutes before being substituted in Paisley after picking up an knock.
Manager Stuart Kettlewell says Donaldson’s injury will be analysed this week to find out how serious it is.
“It looks like Coll has taken a bit of a sore one,” said Kettlewell.
“He’ll probably need an X-ray to see what it is, but fingers crossed it is nothing that serious.”
Kettlewell said it was also fortunate Ross Stewart escaped serious injury after he was clattered by St Mirren’s Joe Shaughnessy, who was sent-off for a dangerous tackle.
The defender caught the striker’s leg with his studs, which required Stewart to receive treatment for several minutes before being allowed to continue.
Kettlewell said there could be no complaints that Shaughnessy was given his marching orders for the challenge.
“I genuinely believe Ross Stewart is exceptionally lucky to continue playing in the game. We’re talking millimetres either way and he could have had a broken leg.
“I don’t think there is any complaints from what I have seen.
“We will all have our own opinions on it, but I’ve been sent off for a lot less.”
