Ross County still waiting to hear answers from Fraser and Morris over contract extensions

Ross County defenders Marcus Fraser and Callum Morris are still in negotiations over extensions to their current contracts.

Both men’s deals are set to expire this summer, but the Staggies announced on Monday that new offers were on the table.

As the North Star went to print, discussions were ongoing, with no definite decision having been made.

Club captain Fraser was a consistent figure in the County line-up last season, making 31 appearances in all competitions in the shortened campaign, with only Billy Mckay and Josh Mullin playing more often.

He was handed the captain’s armband in the summer of 2018 following the club’s relegation to the Championship and the departure of Andrew Davies.

That same summer, Morris arrived in Dingwall on a free transfer from Dunfermline Athletic.

After making a strong start to his County career, forging a solid partnership with Liam Fontiane at the back, Morris began to struggle with injuries.
