After knocking Motherwell out of the previous round, the young Staggies were drawn to face another elite league outfit in Hibernian.

Originally due to be played two weeks ago, the game was postponed to this evening, with County travelling down to Edinburgh.

Calum Brown gave County something to defend early on, opening the scoring in just the fourth minute.

However, Hibs came back into it, testing out goalkeeper Jayden Reid, before finally getting an equaliser on the cusp of half time.

Neither side could find a further breakthrough, meaning that when the 90 minutes elapsed a penalty shoot-out took place.

There, it would be Ross County who triumphed, sealing their spot in the last eight of the competition.
