County must not cross derby line

Steven Ferguson says Ross County must be careful to toe the line in Monday’s Highland derby.

The last time the Staggies met Inverness Caledonian Thistle there were multiple flash points, culminating in red cards for Brian Graham and Shaun Rooney.

Local derbies always bring an extra edge, even more so when the teams meet in a knock-out round of a cup.

So Ferguson says that even in among the passions that will undoubtedly be running high, it will be the cool heads that make the difference.

“Discipline needs to be there,” he insisted.

“It’s that fine line. Players play on the edge."
