Falkirk had the first chance of the game when Zak Rudden’s cross from the right wing was met by Aaron Jarvis who eight yards from goal saw his header hit the right post.

Ross County goalkeeper Scott Fox had to be taken off injured midway through the first half after falling awkwardly in clearing the ball from danger and was replaced by Ross Munro.

Falkirk took the lead just before the half hour mark when Ross Maclean’s ball from midfield found Jarvis and his shot from 18 yards hit the left post.

But Rudden was on hand to fire in the rebound.

County were forced into their second change soon after when Lewis Spence was replaced by Harry Paton.

County could have equalised just before half time when Ross Stewart saw his shot from close range saved by Harry Burgoyne.

They had another great chance just before the break when Vigurs’ pass found Brian Graham eight yards from goal but he fired wide.

But the Staggies equalised before the hour mark when Graham’s cross from the edge of the box found Ross Stewart unchallenged to nod home in the six yard box.

County took the lead in the 74th minute when Iain Vigurs fired a powerful low drive into the bottom left corner of the net from 15 yards.

But Falkirk responded by scoring twice in the space of three minutes to take the lead.

First Kieran McKenna scoring a header by connecting with a corner kick from close range. Captain Jordan McGhee then gave Falkirk the lead with a stunning shot from the edge of the box which sailed into the top left corner of the net.

However Alloa's 1-1 draw at Ayr United meant Falkirk were relegated to League One and Queen of the South will go into the relegation play-off after losing 3-0 to Partick Thistle.
