KINLOCHSHIEL face Fort William in the quarter-final of the The Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup, shinty’s most sought-after trophy.

The quarter-final draw was made on Monday by Camanachd Association president, Archie Robertson, and David Grevemberg, chief executive of Glasgow 2014.

The draw is as follows: Glenurquhart v Inverness or Inveraray; Kinlochshiel v Fort William; Lovat or Kingussie v Kyles Athletic; Skye v Kilmallie.

Matches in the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup quarter-finals are scheduled for Saturday, July 5.

• In the second round of the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup, Beauly were defeated 1-0 by Kinlochshiel with Jordan Fraser getting the counter from a penalty. Fort William beat 7Caberfeidh 7-3.

In the Strathdearn Cup 1st Round Lochbroom v Strathglass was postponed — but as Strathglass were unable to field a team, a walkover was awarded to Lochbroom. Caberfeidh was beaten 2-1 by Kinlochshiel.

In the Marine Harvest North Division 2 Boleskine was defeated 5-1 by Lochcarron, Peter MacKenzie, Sean MacCuish, Kenny Cushnie, Ross Brown and Fraser Stewart notching the goals.
