The pair made their debut for Invergordon last weekend in a 4–0 win over Golspie Sutherland in North Caledonian League Division One.

The duo have signed a loan deal with the Ross-shire club due to the Highland League not scheduled to start until at least November 28.

Mackay, who comes from Invergordon, says the pair have agreed to make themselves available for four weeks and want to make a vital contribution for manager Gary Campbell and his team’s title charge this season.

Mackay says as well as being Brora Rangers manager, he is also still a player for the Highland League champions. He says the loan deal is a good way for him to maintain his match fitness.

“It is a unique set of circumstances as we have no Highland League football for five weeks,” he said.

“I have not played since January and I’ve not retired yet, or have any desire to do so.

“So this was a good opportunity to get some minutes in while helping out my local team.

“We will put ourselves forward for Invergordon’s next four fixtures while training Brora on a Tuesday and Thursday, as well as a Saturday morning.”
