Invergordon Distillery director Shane Healy was invited to roll the first bowl of the season as they sponsored the first day of action at the club.

The distillery will be sponsoring competitions at the club throughout the season.

Club president Charlie Gallacher welcomed returning club members along with guests from St Duthus Bowling Club in Tain and a number of new faces to the club.

Members and guests celebrated the occasion with a group photograph to record the start of the 2022 season.

Members then took part in a regular tradition at the club with a spider competition.

Bowlers stood around the green perimeter with the jack placed centrally on the green.

At the countdown and sound of the whistle, everyone bowled a single bowl, all at the same time, attempting to be the closest to the jack. The winner of the competition was Moira MacLeod.
