John Mann wants to recapture the buzz around Ross Sutherland by replicating last year's success in the Caledonia North Bowl.

Winning the regional cup led to a final at the national stadium, where the Stags came out on top at Murrayfield.

Mann wanted to build on that victory to make a charge at promotion in the league this year, but Ross Sutherland have had a stuttering first half of the campaign.

So attention has turned back to the Bowl – and tomorrow's trip to Aberdeenshire – for a chance of silverware.

“It’s been funny, because I said to a lot of people at the start of the year that our ambition was to get promoted through the league," Mann explained.

"As soon as we lost two games on the bounce, everybody was like ‘oh well, promotion is gone, let’s just concentrate on the Bowl.’"
