Black Isle United kicked off their Inverness and District Football Association Division Two campaign in rampant style as they thrashed Gellions 8–0.

Ruari Rogan scored a hat-trick for the Culbokie outfit with Jack Wardrop getting a double along with Gordy Bruce, Ben Kelly and Iain Ross also finding the net.

River Ness were on cloud nine in their first ever match as they hammered Citadel 9–3 at Bught Park.

Liam Taylor was the man of the match scoring five goals, with Mikey Wemyss scoring twice and Jordan MacKinnon and Scotty Shield also finding the net.

Inverness Athletic hit Highland Athletic for six in their opening game at amateur level with a 6–2 victory.

Logan Dunsmore scored four goals for Athletic with a goal each from Owen McGhie and Cailean Davidson.
