Vigurs had unknowingly picked up a groin injury while still playing for Caley Thistle that he had an operation to fix, meaning he missed pre-season and the opening Betfred Cup group games last year.

He did force his way into the starting 11, playing 13 league matches before picking up a foot injury in November that nearly ended his season.

There were several false starts, with him playing in reserve matches in an attempt to build up match fitness for a first team return only to suffer setbacks and spend even longer on the sidelines.

Vigurs was finally able to return at the very end of the season, coming off the bench as County secured the Championship title.

He then started the last match of the campaign away at Falkirk, but with so much time out Vigurs believes he did not even start to show the Staggies faithful what he is capable of.
