Ben Wyvis Cycling Club: going from strength to strength

A ROSS-SHIRE club made its mark in the second round of the Scottish Cross-Country Mountain Bike series at the Abriachan trials.

Members of Ben Wyvis Cycle Club found the course challenging but exhilarating, with features to test the full range of their skills. Competitors were also taken with the fantastic views.

Organisation, from the somewhat challenging parking arrangements to the marshalling, timing and feeding facilities, went without a hitch. The overall success of the event bodes well for the future and it is hoped that such races will become a regular feature in this area.

A debt of gratitude for their dedication and hard work is owed to all who contributed to the success of the event, but especially Gordy Bathgate of BWCC and Sam Hesling of Abriachan Forest Trust.
