AVOCH manager Martyn MacAllister hopes his side can shrug off the heartbreak of being pipped to the Inverness and District Amateur Premier League title by winning the Highland Amateur Cup for the seventh time.

They face their final test of the season tomorrow when they play Caithness champions Wick Groats at Brora’s Dudgeon Park.

The sides have met twice before in the final, with one win apiece. Avoch won the 2012 final 4-0, while Groats took the 2015 final 3-1.

MacAllister knows his side will have to be at their best to stop Wick Groats completing a grand slam of trophies.
