Jordan White believes Ross County are showing an attacking threat in matches that will bode well for them in the final stretch of the season.

The Staggies have scored in five of their last seven fixtures, with one of those blanks coming away at St Mirren when they hit the woodwork twice and had an effort cleared off the line.

White himself found the net as County claimed three points against Hamilton and Celtic, but while the 29-year-old reckons he can get even better he is confident in the number of different options the club has at their disposal to fire towards Premiership safety.

“In every game we have played we have looked threatening and that is the pleasing thing,” White said.

“We are not just relying on one person to score, we have threats all over the park. If we can keep the back door shut we know we have a chance because we have the quality to score.

“I am happy with my own form, but I still think I have more to give as well.

“I didn’t really play the first half of the season and in the opening few games I was getting through on adrenaline.

“I had a wee dip in terms of my fitness because I hadn’t played for so long.

“I feel I am getting back there and hopefully I can kick on and do a good job for the team between now and the end of the season.”

County’s recent form has been the definition of up and down looking purely at the outcomes.

Since White made his Staggies debut at Hamilton, the Dingwall outfit has alternated between wins and losses.

That means the last time County won two league matches in-a-row was the opening two weeks of the Premiership season.

“Results have been up and down in terms of winning and losing,” White admitted.

“But the majority of the time the performances have been there. For us, that is the pleasing thing.

“When we get beat everybody is coming away really disappointed and wondering how we’ve lost those games. It is only a good thing going forward.

“The games we have won we have done really well and we have deserved the wins.

“Look at the defeats and maybe barring the Dundee United one we have been a wee bit unlucky because a few decisions went against us.

“We have to get on with it and we are happy the way we are going about things and we are confident.

“We only look at ourselves. We can’t control it if other teams get good results elsewhere, we can only look after ourselves to get the points on the board we need.”
