The Alness fighter will look to impress when he fights at Highland Battle at the Drumrossie Hotel in Inverness next Friday.

The 18-year-old handyman impressed in his first professional fight when he won by technical knockout.

Now Williamson is looking to finish his second professional fight early too and show his power in the ring.

“My first professional fight went well as I had trained hard for it,” said Williamson.

"It was scheduled for four rounds but I stopped it in three by a technical knockout.

“I am definitely looking for another knockout in my next professional fight.”

Williamson has joined Nairn Boxing Club and is now trained by coach Kevin Brooks. He says it is a partnership which is working well.

He is also helping Brooks at Nairn Boxing Club and helping train other boxing stars of the future.

“It is great to be working with Kevin and he knows what he is talking about,” says Williamson.

“I am at the club four days a week.

“As well as working with him, I am helping to train other boxers at the club by teaching them foot drills as well as sparring and putting them through their paces.

“I am training boxers who are aged 12 and upwards and it is good to help them out.”

Williamson feels he has transitioned from amateur to professional boxing well as he looks to realise his aim of reaching the top of the sport.

“I have become more dedicated and made more sacrifices at professional level.

“That includes working with your personal trainer, waking up early for your daily run, getting early nights so you can wake up early the next morning.

“My whole life is structured towards boxing.”
