Inverness City Boxing Club athlete is crowned Commonwealth and Scottish champion in East Kilbride on Friday night





ADIAN Williamson has been crowned Commonwealth Youth Super Lightweight champion and Scottish Super Lightweight champion after winning the biggest fight of his career.

The Alness boxer claimed both titles as he defeated Jake Limond at Gladiators III in East Kilbride on Friday night.

The 21-year-old roofer, who trains at Inverness City Boxing Club, defeated Jake Limond after receiving a unanimous judges’ decision after the pair went the distance after 10 rounds.

His professional record now stands at 11 wins and one defeat as he reinforced his status as one of the brightest prospects in Scottish boxing.

Williamson has been boxing for 11 years and after previously being involved in kickboxing before joining Inverness City Boxing Club.

He trains under coach Laurie Redfern.
