Scottish champion test for Williamson

Alness boxer Adian Williamson will be looking to record one of the biggest wins of his career in Inverness on Saturday night.

He will be taking on junior 60kg Scottish champion Corey Rizza from Elgin at the Inverness City Boxing Club show at the Ironworks.

Williamson has made a real impression in the ring having won six of his seven fights and coach Laurie Redfern says he is capable of recording another victory tomorrow.

“Adian is boxing a reigning Scottish champion and Rizza was a weight above him when he won the national title.

“Adian is going up a few pounds to take on Rizza.

“He has had a hard schedule but he has done really well so far.”
