SHOPPERS using a Dingwall superstore have been hailed for thinking of others in the run-up to Christmas.

The Dingwall Tesco last month launched an appeal to help ensure children in challenging circumstances taste the joy of Christmas this year.

Its Christmas Toy Appeal will see donations set to be handed over to the Highland Council Homeless Team in in the town.

A tremendous response has been hailed by the store’s community champion, Michelle Mackay, who shared an image of a huge stash of donated items.

She said: “Dingwall superstore's customers and colleagues have excelled themselves yet again!

“The toys that have been donated has been absolutely incredible. You have all made a difference to a child or family in need this Christmas. Thank you so much.”

The Highland Council Homeless Team in Dingwall and The Archie Foundation Highland will both benefit from these gifts. Added Michelle: “Thank you really doesn't seem enough.”
