A woman who went on a seven-week-long toy store shoplifting spree has been given a community payback order.
Alyce Robinson (26), of Gowanbrae Crescent, Rosemarkie, appeared before Sheriff Principal Eilidh MacDonald and admitted a total of 10 charges of theft from the Smyths toy store in Rose Street, Inverness between September 17 and November 6 last year.
Fiscal depute Adelle Gray told Inverness Sheriff Court that a total of £2360.89 worth of toys had been taken, but none were recovered.
Sheriff MacDonald gave Robinson a community payback order with supervision for one year as a direct alternative to a custodial sentence.
She told her: “You clearly have a bit of a problem here, so you need to have a look at all that.”
