Wool fans have helped provide a £1000 windfall for the Highland Hospice following the success of a Ross-shire event this spring.

The annual Highland Wool Fest, which took place in Strathpeffer Pavilion on May 25, attracted stall holders from across the Highlands selling a wide range of fabrics, yarns and finished products.

The charity event names adopted charities every year, with some of the money raised going towards these worthy causes.

And the Highland Hospice was one of the beneficiaries this year, receiving a cheque for £1000 in a handover presentation this week.

Organiser Anne Marie Foot said: "It is always a thrill to see so many talented people and their amazing work.

“Everyone involved with this year's event were delighted and it was lovely to see so many people attending and enjoying themselves."
