Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre to benefit as Strictly Inverness final line-up is complete - with celebrity guest judge Amy Dowden due at tonight’s show
Tonight’s line-up for the Strictly Inverness final was completed last night when the four qualifying couples from the second semi-final of the annual contest were named.
Gavin Ordinish-Smith, from Conon Bridge, and Michaela Newlands, from Alness, were crowned Friday night champions after topping the leaderboard for a combination of judges’ scores for two dances and the tally of public votes added to fundraising efforts for organisers and hosts Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre while training for the event.
The other couples who advanced to tonight’s final from this semi-final of the novice dance contest were Becky Oman and Michael Mackenzie; Eilidh Collis and Ian Riddle; and Natalie Gordon and Maz Orrock - the first same-sex couple to reach the last eight.
They will be up against the four top couples from Thursday evening’s semi-final: Leah Campbell and Martin Dey; Annis Nordvik and Duncan Macgregor; Jane Fuller and Andrew Simpkins; and Laura Archibald and John Simpson.
