Highland Hospice has launched a new fundraising initiative called the 555 Challenge.

It is asking people to complete a 5k run, walk or cycle, donate £5 to the charity and then nominate five of their friends to do the same.

Charge nurse Louise Anderson spotted another hospice doing a similar challenge, and thought it would work well in the Highlands. She said: “These are tough times for Highland Hospice as so many organised events have been cancelled. By running, walking or cycling 5k, you can make a real difference – and when you nominate five friends you’ll be helping to turn £5 into £30!”
