Dingwall Leisure Centre names winner of £16K 50-year membership prize draw
A LUCKY competition entrant has won herself a 50-year Dingwall Leisure Centre membership - worth up to £16,000.
As previously reported, the High Life Highland operated facility is this weekend celebrating its 50th birthday with a series of fun drop-in events.
These have included roller discos - harking back to its early days in the 1970s - and an old -school military bootcamp fitness session.

Amongst the attractions over the weekend was a prize daw offering a 50-year membership.
The draw today made by leisure manager Ian Goode was won by ticket number 71, bought by an Ann MacDonald.
The leisure centre hailed “a great weekend so far” with final activities including kids sports, kettlebells and teen gym. It teased: “There is also some cake and tea left, so be quick!”
This afternoon’s roller disco was fully subscribed.
The free weekend of events was an opportunity to celebrate the success of the centre, which is one of the community’s hub facilities, and introduce newcomers to what’s on offer. There was a playful ‘70s theme with some choosing to dig out flares, platform shoes and colourful tops befitting on the years sometimes dubbed the decade that style forgot.
