A big-hearted group of pals from Ullapool set the wheels in motion for a quirky fundraising boost for Highland Hospice.

A tractor was donated by Darren Ross to Kenny MacPherson, Iain Rette and John Urquhart. The handy friends then set about reconditioning it.

It was bought by Stuart Mackay, from Lairg, for £3000 and the money donated to the hospice.

A spokeswoman for Highland Hospice said: “Thank you so very much to every single one of you for the part you played in this incredibly kind donation – we are just delighted.”

The cheque will provide a great boost for Highland Hospice.
