A virtual tour of Inverness Castle has been published online this morning – giving people one last chance to see inside the building before it is redeveloped into a world-class visitor attraction.

A Highland Council spokeswoman said: "The video gives a fly-through of the building interior, showing the rooms as they look now before any changes take place.

"Supported by £15 million [of] Scottish Government and £3 million [of] UK government investment through the Inverness and Highland City Region Deal, plans are under way to transform this purpose-built court building into a visitor attraction."

The transformation of the castle is a council project, managed by High Life Highland.
