A DOUBLE Paralympic medallist went back to his old Ross-shire school today to show of the silverware and delight pupils.

Local hero Fin Graham, who is from Strathpeffer, thrilled pupils when he turned up at Dingwall Academy in full kit and sporting the silver medals he brought back from the Tokyo Paralympic Games.

Fin's remarkable progress on the other side of the world was followed closely from his home patch with his exploits inspiring a whole new generation of cyclists.

Dingwall Academy posted: "What a fantastic start to the day with a visit from our very own local hero Fin Graham!

"Fresh back from Tokyo we were delighted and honoured that Fin made Dingwall Academy one of his first visits.

"Unfortunately it was not possible to get the whole school out but the first years, together with some PE classes, gave Fin a great welcome!"

The school is also keeping the wraps for now on another exciting project – the opportunity to cycle to school with Fin. Further details will be emailed to parent.

The secondary school posted: "Thank you so much to Fin for his time today, an absolute privilege to have him back at school."
