ASPIRING young gymnasts at an Easter Ross club have received a message of hope from a former World Champion.

In a specially recorded video message, former Olympian Beth Tweddle offered encouragement to members of Fyrish Gymnastics Club.

The first female gymnast from Great Britain to win a medal at the European Championships, World Championships, and Olympic Games, Miss Tweddle represented Great Britain at three Olympics and remains a role model for many youngsters, running coaching sessions around the country.

She is no stranger to the Alness-based club having previously visited to lead a coaching session.

She said: "I just want to send a quick message from myself and the whole team at Beth Tweddle Gymnastics. I know it's a realy strange time just now, as it is for everyone but please stay safe, keep active and you will soon be back doing your gymnastics."
