A ROSS-SHIRE lifeboat crew has demonstrated its togetherness during social distancing by taking part in a quirky video challenge.

Kyle of Lochalsh RNLI accepted the Pass The Pager challenge and then passed it on to two other branches of the charity which saves lives at sea.

In a post to its Facebook page, the Kyle branch said: "Like everyone, our volunteers may have to be socially distanced at the moment but we're still one crew.

"Thank you to Loch Ness RNLI team for the nomination! We've taken up the Pass the Pager challenge! We nominate @Mallaig RNLI lifeboat & RNLI Portree to take up the challenge!"

The video, which shows crew members passing the pager to each other, has generated lots of love online and attracted some donations, which the charity relies on to fund its work.
