WATCH: A first-timer’s take on the Black Isle Show





WHILE it’s renowned as the must-go annual get-together for members of the north farming community, the Black Isle Show this year solidified its status as offering something for everyone.

First-time attendee Georgia Smyth went along with an open mind had a good scooch around the Mannsfield Showground in Muir of Ord, accompanied by her trustee smartphone.

She captured a real flavour of an event that is steeped in history - but changing with the times.

Along with the backbone livestock events, visitors enjoyed everything from sheep-shearing demonstrations and a hotly contested flower show to the opportunity to browse more than 200 trade stalls.

They offered everything from the latest country-style clothing to high-powered agricultural machinery. Rumour has it that a seven-figure deal has been done in the past on one of those stands…
