A WESTER Ross gallery already rated top of things to do in the picturesque community in which it is located has gone the extra mile to ensure visitors can find it.

Applecross Gallery has shared overhead footage for visitors showing them exactly how to get there from "the famous Applecross Inn".

Despite its visitor magnet status, some new arrivals fail to find some of the hidden charms within easy reach after they have made the sometimes arduous trip across the Bealach na Ba pass.

In footage shared by gallery owner Jack Marris visitors are directed along Shore Street, past Milltown and on past the fire station and community hall before, around another bend, reaching a car park which "has the best views of any in Scotland".

Applecross Community Hall posted: "It can be surprising the number of folk who turn at Shore Street, missing most of the other villages in Applecross.
