WATCH: Blythswood Care, which has major presence at Deephaven near Evanton, thanks big-hearted public supporters for backing its Ukraine emergency appeal as refugee crisis deepens

A CHARITY with a major base in Ross-shire has thanked supporters who have backed its Ukraine appeal.

Blythswood Care, which has local partners in several countries fringing Ukraine who are helping refugees from the Russian invasion, is targetting £250,000 in its appeal and had already as of Friday raised over £160,000.

It posted@ "Thank you to everyone who has supported our Ukraine appeal.

"We get regular updates from our partners in Hungary, Moldova and Romania.

"Every day they are helping more and more refugees, all who are in desperate need of shelter, food, water and blankets. And, the need is getting greater and more urgent."

Supporters thanked the charity for its work.

David Joyce-Bainbridge posted: "Thank you Blythswood care for all you are doing in supporting the Ukraine appeal. Your work is amazing what you are doing."

Morag Macdonald stated: "We know the good work you do and this will all go to the right place."
