WATCH: Black Isle Show president expecting nearly 30,000 to attend two-day event
NEARLY 30,000 people are expected to attend the 2024 Black Isle Show, according to show president Tom Henderson.
Packed trade stands, a strong livestock entry and the return of the Heavy Horse turnout after more than two decades, are among the many highlights this year.
“Everything is planned to have one of the best Black Isle Shows ever,” said Mr Henderson. “The entries are great, the trade stands are full and we have great main ring entertainment, including stuntman Steve Colley.
“The planning is a year-long thing. We have a large, good strong committee and everyone has their own roles and takes charge of their own part of the show. It is a real team effort.”
Mr Henderson follows in the footsteps of his father, John, in taking on the role — now he attends the show with his three young children. Mr Henderson continued: “I have attended the show all my life. Being president is a great honour.”
