WATCH: Aird Fundraising Group sells more than 100 paintings in aid of Highland Hospice as art in frame at charity success

Hosted in Beauly’s Phipps Hall, there was a wide range of paintings up for grabs from Highland cows to stunning Scottish scenery.

On the opening night, 24 paintings were sold as locals enjoyed canapés and refreshments.

Organisers were delighted to have the support of many local artists who helped to set up the event and donated 25 per cent of their profits to the Highland Hospice.

Hospice community fundraiser Katie Gibb said: “We are so grateful to the Aird Fundraising team for organising another incredible event.

“This group have been such dedicated fundraisers for Highland Hospice over the years and we can’t thank them enough for the difference they have made to our service users and those close to them.”

There was also a raffle, silent auction and a variety of cards for sale.

Group chairwoman Jenny MacIver said: “There is a wealth of talent on our doorstep.

“The hospice, like every charity, has struggled with the absence of fundraising. Thank you for your support.”
