NHS Highland closes ward 5C at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness to prevent norovirus spread

An Inverness hospital unit has been closed to new patients due to an increase in cases of diarrhoea and vomiting.

Ward 5C at Raigmore Hospital has been closed as a precautionary measure.

NHS Highland has asked members of the public with any symptoms of diarrhoea or vomiting to avoid visiting any hospitals or care homes until at least 48 hours after those symptoms have ceased, in a bid to tackle the spread of norovirus.
