UPDATE: One-vehicle road accident in Evanton prompts closure of road

POLICE are attending the scene of a one-vehicle accident in Ross-shire.

Emergency services were alerted at around 7.55am this morning following the report of a one-vehicle road crash on Drummond Road, Evanton.

A police spokesman said: "Emergency services attended and the extent of injuries are not yet known. The road is currently closed between Foulis and Evanton.

"Officers are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident".

Police said earlier that diversions were in place.
