UPDATE: One person taken to hospital in Inverness after two-car crash at A9 junction near Evanton





One person has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash near Evanton.

As we reported earlier, the accident happened near Skiach Services where the B9176 joins the A9.

Police officers diverted traffic from the immediate vicinity and an ambulance crew removed one casualty from the scene.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 13:26 to attend a two-vehicle road traffic collision in the area of the Skiach services near Evanton.

“An ambulance was dispatched, and a patient was transported to Raigmore Hospital.”

It is understood traffic control measures remain in place.

Police have been asked for comment.
