One person has been taken to hospital after being cut free from a vehicle in a crash that has closed the A82 south of Fort William.

Police have confirmed one man suffered serious injuries, during a two-vehicle collision involving a car and a van.

The road is still closed in both directions.

Accident investigators were called to the scene and a Police Scotland spokesman said the road could be closed for some time.

A Traffic Scotland spokesman said the A82 was closed in both directions between the West End roundabout in Fort William and North Ballachulish, due to the crash, and northbound cars only could access Corran Ferry, with A861 not suitable for HGVs.
