Update: A9 near Alness reopens following collision





Emergency services including the police were called to the scene of a collision on the A9 at Alness.

The A9 near Alness has now reopened following a collision earlier today.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Tomich junction after being alerted at 6.40am.

A9 closed in both directions near Alness following collision

The collision involved a van and car.

Firefighters from Invergordon also went to the scene.

Diversions were put in place but Traffic Scotland has reported the road has reopened.

The severity of any injuries is unknown.
