A9 clear after crash north of Inverness at Munlochy junction

The A9 just north of Inverness is fully open again after a crash earlier today.

The southbound carriageway of the Inverness to Thurso trunk route was partially blocked for a short time this afternoon following a crash at Munlochy junction reported just before noon.

The incident happened on the southbound lane, with emergency services attending.

Police Scotland have not responded to our requests for further information or advice for drivers, although Traffic Scotland warned motorists to approach the scene with caution.

The number of vehicles involved and whether anybody was injured has not been disclosed at this time.
