AN Easter Ross youth group has flagged the cancellation of a number of planned sessions this week.

Tain and District Youth Cafe YMCA said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances all primary and secondary groups will be cancelled for the rest of this week.

"Hopefully everything will restart Monday 22nd as normal."

Groups affected are the drop-ins on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the baking club, young carers and the youth committee.

The group earlier in the week appealed to people to ensure they were symptom-free and hadn't come into contact with anyone currently isolating or awaiting test results.

It said it was aware of high levels of Covid-19 locally.

It posted: "If anyone needs any help or support please do not hesitate to get in touch."
