A WESTER ROSS distillery has teamed up with a mixologist to make Valentine's day even tastier.

Highland Liquor Company, based in Ullapool, is the producer of the award-winning Seven Crofts gin, which is at the heart of this bittersweet recipe, perfect to brighten up this weekend.

Seven Crofts Blood Red Rose – this is the name of the creative tipple - has tasting notes of cardamom and coriander, traditional sour ingredients, seasonal blood oranges and rose liquor.

Created by Highland Liquor Company, Seven Crofts gin was inspired by the first seven dwellings that formed the Highland fishing village of Ullapool, over 200 years ago. A classic London dry gin style using seven botanicals for complex depth of flavour, this gin is very a versatile for using in cocktails.

Highland Liquor Company’s latest release is Fisherman’s Strength, a new navy strength (57% ABV) bottling of Seven Crofts gin launched in October 2020.
