Ullapool RJ McLeod director retires after dedicating 37 years to the Dingwall company

AN Ullapool native who has dedicated decades to a local construction firm has finally retired after 37 years.

Earlier this month, RJ McLeod said goodbye to director, Sandy Osborne, who has retired after serving many years at the civil engineering and building contractors.

Sandy went to Ullapool Primary School and Dingwall Academy, before graduating from Heriot-Watt University in 1981 with degree in civil engineering. He joined RJ McLeod in 1987 as an engineer, progressing to agent then contracts manager, before joining the board of directors in 1997.

In a LinkedIn post announcing Sandy’s retirement, RJ McLeod said: “He has been instrumental in our success, reinforcing our position as the key contractor for delivering all disciplines of civil engineering in the north, particularly in renewables.

”Sandy has left a great team to continue the company’s success and we wish him well in his retirement.”
