Ullapool craft shop set to rebrand and move location
AN Ullapool contemporary craft shop is moving premises amidst a new rebrand for the business.
Located on 21 West Argyle Street, Ceàrd offers a range of Scottish contemporary craft items, including paintings, prints, jewellery, ceramics, textiles, carved wood, forged metal and much more.
However, the shop is now set to move into the former Bank of Scotland premises on 30 West Argyle Street later this year, Ceàrd will be renamed Havørn, which is Norwegian for sea eagle.
The Ullapool Bank of Scotland branch closed in October 2023, due to a reported 64 per cent fall in visits to the branch in recent years.
In the window of Havørn’s soon-to-be premises, a notice reads: “Ceàrd will be moving HERE later in the year!
“The interior is currently being renovated, and is also functioning as a studio and workshop space. Ceàrd will be rebranding and the new shop will be named Havørn, meaning sea eagle in Norwegian.
“We will continue to focus on Scottish hand craft — showcasing local artists and makers. However we have some exciting ideas which will expand our offer!
“If you would like further information please pop along and see Sara in Ceàrd.”
