Ullapool’s Cult Cafe up for sale as owners reveal New Zealand plans

AN ULLAPOOL cafe is up for sale, looking for offers in the region of £160k, as the owners reveal their New Zealand plans.

The Cult Cafe, on 27 Argyle Street, is an award-winning cafe located in the centre of the village.

Established in July 2021, the cafe takes inspiration from the co-owner Zoe McClunie’s New Zealand background. She runs the business alongside her partner Stewart McAllister.

As stated in the property listing, the owners now have “the desire to return their business interests to New Zealand”.

Currently the Cult Cafe offers coffee, smoothies and brunch-style food and can seat up to 22 customers.

The property listing states: “Cult Cafe caters to many different dietary requirements and as such enjoys a Tripadvisor rating of #1 of the 13 Restaurants in Ullapool.

“The owners run the café remotely and have two full-time chefs and other front of house staff who deal with the day to day operation. The café has a snug and welcoming open-plan layout benefitting from a well-signed presence from the main road.”
