TWO more Ross-shire schools have been closed and partially closed due to "unforeseen circumstances".

Bualnaluib Primary and its associated nursery in Wester Ross will be partially closed in the afternoon, Highland Council says.

Marybank primary and nursery have also been closed with the same "unforeseen circumstances" cited on the local authority's website.

That was the same reason stated for Tain primary schools Knockbreck and Craighill which were closed yesterday and remain closed today.

That was done as a precautionary measure after a member of staff and a pupil were taken ill.

The total number of pupils at Highland Council primary schools affected by closures today is 775 at five schools.

A total of 64 children at six nursery schools are affected.

Carbost, Smithton and Strathdearn are also all affected by closures or partial closures.

This story will be updated.
