AN Easter Ross community has issued a rallying call to locals to pitch in to a tidy-up drive.
May 31 has been declared Tidy Tain Tuesday.
The call to action comes from Tain Task Force, which is behind a number of community projects in and around the royal burgh.
It said: "There are lots if weeds appearing along joins between buildings and the pavements all around Tain.
"So please come out on Tuesday, May 31 and remove any weeds at the edge of your house or business. It only takes five minutes with a trowel or hoe."
It requests that no weedkiller be used but that growing weeds simply be removed and binned. It said: "If we all do this it will really improve the town's appearance."
