AN Easter Ross community which cancelled its annual gala week because of uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus crisis is set to stage a number of events in July.

Tain Gala Association is planning a scarecrow and flowerpot people competition in July for people in the town and surrounding district.

Locals are invited to come up with a creation from any material of their choice in their gardens.
