NEW recruits will join old stagers at a landmark Ross-shire venue for a panto set to trigger memories for generations of people.

Dingwall Players are busy rehearsing for this year’s panto, The Wicked Witches of Oz, by Peter Nuttall.

The story is a familiar one with witches, a tin man, a scarecrow and a lion meeting with Dorothy and her best friend Toto in the Kingdom of Oz.

Together they go on a quest to achieve their dreams.

Sound familiar?

The panto is an adaptation of Frank Baum’s evergreen Wizard of Oz and as such has many of the characters you would expect – along with a few surprises, lots of audience participation in the shape of booing and, of course, singing.
