Invergordon RNLI has taken delivery of a new stock of custom-made multi-functional bandanas which celebrate a special milestone in the local branch's history.

The RNLI 13-37 Agnes AP Barr Shannon Class Lifeboat item is designed for maximum versatility and can be deployed as a face covering, headband, balaclava or beanie hat.

It comes at a time when face coverings have become mandatory in shops and a number of other indoor public spaces as well as on public transport.

The branch says the soft polyester microfibre material means they are warm in the winter but cool in summer and can be used across a range of sports from athletics, cycling, jogging, horse riding to skiing "or just to be trendy!"

They celebrate the brand new lifeboat the crew is waiting to take delivery off when lockdown measures have further eased.

Invergordon RNLI says it has a limited stock of the accessory which is priced at £7.50 plus postage.

Orders can be emailed to 1337@invergordonlifeboat.org with name and address . It says that payment will ideally be via PayPal username donate@invergordonlifeboat.org
